As a Senior PS Consultant, you would be a part of Professional Services BU, tasked with evolving and maintaining HERE Automotive SDK and associated backend services; an SDK that offers functionality on various domains: Routing, Rendering, Search, System, Traffic, Guidance used to enable in-car navigation use cases.
Would be responsible for ensuring long term sustainiable code base and is influential in the technology choices for the complex solutions owned by the team.
Communicate context internally for the team and to the larger organization
Flair for software and solution development, maintenance and optimization.
Must be a top-tier Scala engineer with proven proficiency in cloud development. Would be contributing to a wide range of backend services impacting user experience in cars such as routing algorithms, traffic, road sign and hazard updates served as REST and native APIs.Must have good communication skills and be passionate about integration etc. specially with OEM platform
You will be responsible for the activities listed below–
- Configure, Run, Monitor and improve performance assuring highest customer availability.
- Adapt services to data pipeline changes, other backend API changes and technological upgrades. Maintain and increase code quality, while ensuring best engineering practices Software Engineering - Design, Test and implement software systems that optimize all phases of data operations process and new solution designs.
- Design and develop optimized and customized solutions for customer.
- Research and development - Be involved in research and development activities to understand and identify the product requirements aligned to HERE’s vision and business needs.
- Participates as an individual contributor with professional expertise.
- Carries out tasks/activities according to assignment and set guidelines. Limited supervision and coaching needed.
Who are you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
- 4+ years of experience in cloud development projects. Should have strong programming skills in Scala
- Good understanding for functional programming and modern design patterns.
- Have working knowledge of Scala, Spark, Flink, Akka and data processing
- Experience developing HTTP REST services
- Basic Knowledge of databases like SQL.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD methods , AWS / S3 (cloud).
- Excellent collaborative skills , spoken English and experience in multi cultural and multi-site working environment is a big plus
- Analytical approach and problem-solving skills
- Having the following skills would be an added advantage:
- Knowledge of location-based services such as mapping, navigation, GPS
- OpenAPI 3.0 specification
- AWS
- Knowledge on location or automotive specific standards, e.g., Navigation Data Standard (NDS), Transport Protocol Experts Group (TPEG)
