JOB DESCRIPTION
We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Java) to design and develop robust, high-performance enterprise applications. This role requires strong expertise in Java-based backend systems and familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular for front-end development.
As an SSE, you will be responsible for implementing high-quality code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of scalable and maintainable solutions. You should have solid problem-solving skills, a good understanding of system design principles, and the ability to work effectively in an agile environment.
Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and modern database technologies.• Implement RESTful APIs and microservices for web and internal applications.• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned with best practices.• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and other engineers to deliver features on time.• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and support smooth deployments.• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues.• Stay updated with emerging technologies and suggest improvements where applicable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Backend Development• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing optimized queries.• Familiarity with microservices architecture and integration with third-party services.
Front-End Development• Working knowledge of Angular or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.• Ability to build responsive and dynamic user interfaces.
Engineering Practices• Understanding of CI/CD tools and pipelines for automated deployments.• Experience with unit testing and automation frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.).• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in sprint ceremonies.
Mandatory Skills - Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API / Microservices, Angular, SQL / Relational Databases, Code Reviews and Design Principles
Good to Have - AWS Cloud, CI/CD tools (e.g., Bamboo), NoSQL Databases, Messaging Systems (Kafka, etc.), Agile / SAFe methodologies, Claude AI or similar tools.

- 3.5 to 5 years of professional experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API / Microservices Architecture, Angular, SQL / Relational Databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), Technical Leadership / Code Reviews / Design Principles
- Can work advanced database magic with relational and NoSQL databases
- Are in-tune with high performance and high availability design/programming
- Have experience in security best practices for software and data platforms
- Design 'perfect-fit' solutions with engineering teams and business units to drive business growth and customer delight
- Enjoy solving problems through the entire application stack
- Are interested and capable of learning other programming languages as needed.
