Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with AI Program Managers, business functional SMEs and senior leaders within Gas Power functions as well as GEV AI Foundry to build the strategic vision, objectives and multi-generational program roadmap for AI initiatives aligned with organizational strategic goals and Hoshin.
- Support AI Program Managers the discovery and qualification of AI use-case ideas and unifying connected ideas within a value-stream as part of building consolidated AI roadmap for a value stream.
- Lead the planning, prioritization, technical execution and delivery of AI projects using SAFE principles, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes in collaboration with Power DSAI and AI Foundry technical teams.
- Lead Customer Success partnering with the AI Program Manager to ensuring successful business activation, value realization and continuous improvement of AI capabilities.
Team Leadership, Collaboration & Managing Stakeholder Expectations:
- Lead program execution across cross-functional agile teams comprising data scientists, software engineers, architects, Responsible AI analysts and Quality assurance, while driving strong collaboration across multiple technical teams across Power IT and GEV AI Foundry in a way that balances speed, reusability and minimizes technical debt.
- Drive strong collaboration with AI Program managers, business functional stakeholders for managing expectations.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and AI Program manager + business function stakeholders, translating complex concepts/features into actionable technical user stories/specifications.
Program Management:
- Implement best practices in program management, including resource allocation, risk management, scope changes, say-do-ratio & quality management.
- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or deviations proactively; Coordinate execution across multiple projects and drive shared approach and outcomes tracking. Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and responsible AI standards in AI development and deployment. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI technologies and methodologies.
- Drive the adoption of innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of AI programs.
- Evaluate and refine processes to optimize project outcomes and organizational value.
Education Qualification
For roles outside USA:
Bachelor's Degree in with significant experience.
Desired Characteristics
- Proven experience in AI product management, with a track record of successful project delivery; Proven experience using project management methodologies to deliver business value and drive significant change across an organization.
- Understanding of AI, Machine learning and data science with specialized focus on Generative AI & prompt engineering.
- Solid domain understanding of the Gas Power business, processes and functions.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of various project and portfolio management methodologies with track record of implementing shared standards for large organizations
- Strong project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies (preferable SAFE Agile Certified)
- Experience managing budgets including budget and spend
- Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and guiding diverse teams. Strong influencing skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas. Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome. Able to verbalize what is behind decisions and downstream implications.
