Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Product Owner to join our team. This is a key role in relation to the Power GenAI vision and strategy and will be critical to lead the scale up, expansion and implementation of GenAI programs across multiple business functions and value-streams. The role will leverage a blend of deep technology acumen in GenAI and deep business process acumen/expertise to manage the conceptualization, delivery and validation, of multi- generational AI programs. This person will collaborate and operate in lock-step with the AI Program Managers to create a clear strategic direction for development needs and convey that vision to the build and/or operations team, partner with them to drive the implementation (planning, and execution following SAFE principles) of the program roadmap balancing the need for new features, defects, and technical debt and ensuring timeliness and quality of delivery , and lead customer success for the implemented programs, to drive continuous improvement, and enable business value realization. This role is expected to work closely with senior leadership stakeholders within business functions and IT, as well as functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), data scientists, AI architects, Agile AI POD teams etc., to foster and drive close collaboration, innovation and delivery efficiencies.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

- Collaborate with AI Program Managers, business functional SMEs and senior leaders within Gas Power functions as well as GEV AI Foundry to build the strategic vision, objectives and multi-generational program roadmap for AI initiatives aligned with organizational strategic goals and Hoshin.

- Support AI Program Managers the discovery and qualification of AI use-case ideas and unifying connected ideas within a value-stream as part of building consolidated AI roadmap for a value stream.

- Lead the planning, prioritization, technical execution and delivery of AI projects using SAFE  principles, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes in collaboration with Power DSAI and AI Foundry technical teams.

- Lead Customer Success partnering with the AI Program Manager to ensuring successful business activation, value realization and continuous improvement of AI capabilities.

Team Leadership, Collaboration & Managing Stakeholder Expectations:

- Lead program execution across cross-functional agile teams comprising data scientists, software engineers, architects, Responsible AI analysts and Quality assurance, while driving strong collaboration across multiple technical teams across Power IT and GEV AI Foundry in a way that balances speed, reusability and minimizes technical debt.

- Drive strong collaboration with AI Program managers, business functional stakeholders for managing expectations.

- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.

- Act as a liaison between technical teams and AI Program manager + business function stakeholders, translating complex concepts/features into actionable technical user stories/specifications.

Program Management:

- Implement best practices in program management, including resource allocation, risk management, scope changes, say-do-ratio & quality management.

- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or deviations proactively; Coordinate execution across multiple projects and drive shared approach and outcomes tracking. Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies.

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and responsible AI standards in AI development and deployment. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI technologies and methodologies.

- Drive the adoption of innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of AI programs.

- Evaluate and refine processes to optimize project outcomes and organizational value.

Education Qualification

For roles outside USA:

Bachelor's Degree in with significant experience.

Desired Characteristics

- Proven experience in AI product management, with a track record of successful project delivery; Proven experience using project management methodologies to deliver business value and drive significant change across an organization.

- Understanding of AI, Machine learning and data science with specialized focus on Generative AI & prompt engineering.

- Solid domain understanding of the Gas Power business, processes and functions.

- Strong understanding and knowledge of various project and portfolio management methodologies with track record of implementing shared standards for large organizations

- Strong project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies (preferable SAFE Agile Certified)

- Experience managing budgets including budget and spend

- Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and guiding diverse teams. Strong influencing skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas. Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome. Able to verbalize what is behind decisions and downstream implications. Continuously reflecting on success and failures to improve performance and decision-making. Understands when change is needed. Participates in technical strategy planning.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to align AI initiatives with broader business objectives.

- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills.

- Passion for innovation and continuous learning in the field of artificial intelligence. Self-starter - requires minimal direction to accomplish goals

- Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and /

or industry activities

- Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analysis skills and best practices. Finds important patterns in seemingly unrelated information.

- Innovates and integrates new processes and/or technology to significantly add value to GE. Identifies how the cost of change weighs against the benefits and advises accordingly. Proactively learns new solutions and processes to address seemingly unanswerable problems.
