Nexaminds is actively seeking a Site Reliability Engineer.
Position Responsibilities
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of reliability practices for a leading online retail enterprise. Some key responsibilities include:
- Assist in identifying project risks and contribute to possible solutions.
- Maintain and update documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to help address performance and resiliency issues.
- Support cloud infrastructure setup and optimization to ensure reliability and resilience.
- Participate in developing and testing recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
- Follow and apply best practices for cloud security and compliance in daily work.
- Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot issues, and escalate where needed.
- Contribute to the adoption of SRE frameworks, practices, and automation initiatives.
- Stay engaged with evolving cloud technologies and reliability tools.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles.
- 2–4 years of experience as a Cloud/DevOps/SRE engineer or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS preferred).
- Exposure to public and hybrid network architectures, VPC, and security group concepts.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline).
- Experience with at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.) and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation a plus).
- Basic experience with application monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk).
- Knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes basics) is a plus.
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, or storage concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
Experience
- 2–4 years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, or cloud operations.
- Hands-on exposure to AWS or another public cloud environment.
- Experience working in production or mission-critical systems is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
