About The Role:
Own the design, build, and production release of AI/ML and LLM systems on Databricks. Set standards, lead cross-team delivery, and land high-impact features end to end.
What you’ll do
- Architect and ship pipelines on Databricks (data → features → train/eval → serve → monitor) using Python and Spark.
- Productionize LLM use cases: RAG, evaluation/guardrails, latency & cost optimization, caching, and rollout.
- Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and drive multi-quarter initiatives with Data, Platform, and Product.
- Drive ambiguity and ownership: Own 0→1 charters and hold deprecation/migration authority across services.
- Handle data governance and access controls; keep systems reliable and compliant.
This is a fully remote opportunity based in India. Standard work hours are from 11am to 8pm IST.
You Are Likely To Succeed If:
- 8+ years building and shipping AI/ML systems; proven Staff-level scope and cross-team impact.
- Expert Python + Spark; strong Databricks/AWS/Azure experience (Delta, MLflow, Jobs/Workflows; Model Serving a plus).
- Hands-on LLM production work (RAG, evals/safety, serving, tracing, cost/perf tradeoffs).
- Solid system design, CI/CD, containers, and monitoring.
