Job Description
- Experience in coding in Java, object-oriented and modularized software.
- Demonstrated success completing complex projects.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies quickly.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with Java or similar OO language
- Lakehouse, Iceberg, delta tables, hudi, data pipelines, declarative pipelines, Spark, Flink, Big data, Semantic model, Data modeling, Star schemas, Snowflake, OLAP, Data cloud, Data fabric
- Expert level understanding of best practices for object-oriented and modularized software. Emphasis on Java.
- Experience with relational databases: Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, and/or PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of SQL and query development
- Familiarity with Unix shell
Nice to have:
- Expertise in writing Java code and working knowledge of JavaScript. Experience in other OO languages will be considered
- Expertise in unit and integration test automation
- Deep database internals knowledge
- Technical leadership skills (requirements gathering, mentoring, project ownership)
- Understanding of monolithic Java application
