The Staff Developer Relations Engineer will teach and engage developers with AI tools through demos, workshops, content creation, and community programs, while collaborating across teams to enhance projects and programs.
Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams - People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more - provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.
The Role
As a Staff Developer Relations Engineer at Block, you'll help developers level up with AI. Within our team, some of us work in open source, and some work inside Block teaching engineering teams how to use AI tools in real projects. You'll be comfortable with either.
You would join a group that loves to experiment, build quick examples, and show others how AI can make software development faster and more creative. Your work will help thousands of engineers get comfortable with AI coding assistants, agents, and new ways of building.
You'll report to Angie Jones, Head of Developer Relations, and be part of an organization that supports both internal and external developer programs.
