Your Role:
As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll be a senior technical authority driving strategic initiatives across automation, AI-driven engineering, and platform reliability. You’ll remain deeply hands-on, solving complex problems, influencing architecture, and delivering scalable, secure solutions that power CommSec’s next-generation platform.
Responsibilities:
- Advanced .NET Engineering & Automation
- Basis understanding Kubernetes, heml.
- Strong experience in building secure, scalable and high performing apis in .net core, microservice. Python expertise is an added advantage.
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend systems leveraging SQL Server and PostgreSQL (AWS RDS).
- Implement robust CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and TeamCity.
- Automate infrastructure and operational workflows using PowerShell, Shell, Python, and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Reliability & Observability
- Champion reliability engineering practices to enhance system resilience.
- Drive observability improvements using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Technical Leadership (IC Focus)
- Influence architectural decisions with a focus on scalability, automation, and AI enablement.
- Provide technical direction for complex problem-solving and strategic initiatives.
- Share knowledge through documentation, technical blogs, and mentoring peers.
- Participate in on-call rotations to uphold service excellence.

- Core: .NET Core / C# (essential)

AI & AIOps Integration

- Contribute to AI initiatives, including automation and diagnostics, and projects like the “Hey CommSec” chatbot.
Education Qualification: Bachelor's / master’s degree in engineering/ information systems from an accredited university.
