Job Title: Staff Software Engineer - IOS
Location: Bangalore
Business & Team:
Retail Technology is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.
You will be working as a part of Retail Technology to achieve their strategic objectives through planning, prioritising, delivering and supporting projects and initiatives. Your team’s success will be realised through partnering with business and IT teams across both business domain and Technology to deliver beautiful experiences and exceptional capabilities to our branch applications

You will contribute to the financial well-being of our customers by ensuring that our team builds the best solutions possible using modern development practices that ensure both functional and non-functional needs are met.
Roles & Responsibilities:-
- Develop, test, and release iOS applications, ensuring high-quality customer experiences.
- Design and implement enterprise application architectures that leverage design patterns, concurrency, and performance optimization.
- Maintain and extend CI/CD pipelines, coupled with engagement in testing automation processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in iOS development and proactively pitch innovative ideas to peers and senior management.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their growth and development.
- Display strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills to articulate ideas and solutions effectively.
Essential Skills:
- At least 12 years of relevant experience in iOS development.
- Exceptional design sense with the ability to oversee app development from conception to release.
- Solid experience in enterprise application architecture, including design patterns, concurrency, and performance.
- Strong curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new languages, frameworks, and tools.
- A passion for delivering quality code that ensures reusability and scalability.
- Proven track record of developing robust and secured enterprise native iOS applications with Swift and An expert with Xcode as well as keeping up to date with most modern mobile development practices
- Knowledge of RESTful services
- Advance knowledge in source control management such as Git and Gitflow
- Previous experience of working with Agile methodology
- Experience with CI/CD and exposure to testing automation
- Display of natural curiosity and enthusiasm about learning new languages, frameworks and tools
- Exceptional sense for design with an ability to see an app through conception, development, testing and release
- Keeping up-to-date with latest trends in iOS development with a passion to pitch to peers and senior management new ideas to turn to reality
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
