Staff Software Engineer

You will be responsible for:
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team of engineering, data science, product management, infosec to deliver new platform capabilities that provide customer value
- Continually improve microservices and event driven architecture to drive Product Innovation
- Continually improve the codebase and application of best practices
- Own customer facing features from ideation, implementation, quality, and productionalization
- Drive Agile Methodologies of iterative improvements, retrospectives, timely deliverables
- Promote a Devops culture of collaboration and ownership of production systems
- Contribute to automated testing coverage
- Provide coaching and mentorship to junior team members
You should apply if you have:
- 7+ years of developing scalable applications
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka
- Expertise in API design
- Deep knowledge in microservices, event driven architecture, relational and non-relational data stores, and AWS best practices
- Hands-on experience with Acceptance or Behavioral Testing methodology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Desire to learn new technologies and ability to analyze the applicability of a technology in business context
- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and other DevOps tools
- Experience supporting production customer facing applications with a global reach
- Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on data-driven decision making
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
