About the roleYou’ll deliver new product capabilities across our platform, working across the full stack — from database models to UI components — and owning features end-to-end. AI is central to how you’ll work: you’ll use AI-assisted development tools daily to accelerate your output, build AI-powered product experiences for our customers, and help establish the practices that make our team effective in this new operating model.
What you’ll shipBuild and improve APIs, microservices, and frontend experiences that power government agencies at scale
Own features end-to-end: collaborate with Product and Design to define the problem, build the solution, ship it, and monitor it in production
Build AI-powered product features — from intelligent data analysis and agent-driven workflows to AI-assisted user experiences that transform how government teams work
Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) as a core part of your workflow to accelerate coding, debugging, and documentation
Produce clean, well-documented code and conduct thorough reviews of both human-written and AI-generated code, with a sharp eye for the subtle failure modes each produces
Collaborate across the organization to translate business priorities into shipped features that drive customer success
Have 8+ years of professional experience building scalable software in an agile environment
Have strong experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React or similar) and backend development
Have hands-on experience with Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures, including medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) patterns, and designing or maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines with well-defined schemas, data contracts, and quality expectations
Experienced with cloud-based data and compute platforms, preferably AWS including services such as Glue, Lambda, Athena, DMS, RDS, Redshift, and Iceberg table formats, and have worked with near-real-time or CDC-based data ingestion pipelines
Are comfortable working across the stack — frontend, backend, data layer — and shipping features end-to-end
Have built heavily utilized enterprise SaaS software
Actively use AI-assisted development tools and have a feel for when they accelerate you vs. when they lead you astray
Have experience building AI-powered product features: agents, AI-driven UX, workflow automation, or retrieval systems (direct ML/model training experience not required)
Have built APIs, designed database models (SQL and NoSQL), and worked with event-driven patterns
Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where new ideas ship daily, staying closely aligned to customer needs and outcomes
Demonstrated experience working directly with customers to improve product experiences
A track record of experimenting with new AI tools and bringing effective ones to your team
Track record of driving team improvement through mentoring and process innovation
Previous work in govtech, fintech, or regulated SaaS environments
