We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Resource Management/Staffing Specialist to support our organization’s staffing needs by efficiently managing resource requests and aligning talent with project requirements. Reporting to the Staffing Manager, this role will be crucial in coordinating global resource assignments and ensuring optimal alignment of skills, availability, and project demands.

We'll trust you to:

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure client projects are staffed appropriately.
  • Understand the skills and experiences of the consultants along with their career goals and aspirations to ensure client/project allocations align accordingly.
  • Maintain an accurate resource management system, reviewing staffing allocations versus actuals to minimize revenue leakage.
  • Maintain an up-to-date skills database by proactively ensuring resources regularly update their internal resumes and profiles. Continuously assess and identify skill gaps across the workforce to inform future staffing needs Collaborate with the Staffing Manager to develop strategies for addressing skill shortages and enhancing workforce capabilities.
  • Track missing timesheets to ensure compliance and accurate reporting of key KPIs.
  • Coordinate staffing-related activities to integrate new hires seamlessly into project teams.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting and analysis related to projected and actual hours, utilization, and headcount; monitor over and under-utilized resources and develop actions to balance workloads.
  • Evaluate current staffing processes and reporting, identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining.
  • Pull, analyze, and interpret billings, resource capacity, and forecasting data, preparing actional insights and reports for the leadership team to support strategic decision-making and resource planning.
  • Assist in preparing PowerPoint presentations for key meetings ensuring clear and data-driven communication.
  • Foster an innovative, collaborative, and inclusive team-oriented work environment.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in consulting, resource management, or operations, preferably in a professional services or management consulting firm.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, complex formulas).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapting quickly to changing needs.
