STS is looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer to translate client requirements into techno-commercial proposals and support the sales team in winning new business. The role involves analyzing opportunities, scoping customized solutions, preparing technical documentation, and presenting proposals to clients in the renewable energy domain.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze client requirements from RFPs, emails, and meetings, and clarify technical scope.
- Design customized technical solutions aligned with client needs and company capabilities.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, presentations, quotations, and supporting documents.
- Support the sales team during proposal preparation, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies, cost estimation, and risk analysis.
- Coordinate with internal teams including sales, advisory, and operations.
- Present technical solutions to clients and address queries.
- Recommend additional scope opportunities to maximize client value.
- Perform post-mortem analysis and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pre-sales, technical sales, bid engineering, or procurement engineering.
- Experience in renewable energy, EPC, or technical advisory environments preferred.
- Exposure to techno-commercial proposals, quality assurance, audits, or inspections.
- Understanding of PV modules, BESS, and renewable energy equipment.
- Experience in solution scoping, pricing, cost estimation, and risk evaluation.
- Familiarity with technical advisory, inspections, and quality assurance services.
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in preparing technical proposals and documentation.
- Collaborative mindset and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and collaboration tools; ERP familiarity is a plus.
