The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Key Role Details
- This is a paid internship that is full time, requiring 40 hours per week.

Basic Qualifications
- Current student of the University of Maryland, College Park ; University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher with an expectation that your most recent degree program will be obtained by August 2027 or earlier
- For example: If you are graduating with a Bachelor's degree in May 2026 and are also currently enrolled in a full-time Master's degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2027, then your most recent full-time degree program is your Master's degree
- Must be continuing in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree program following completion of the internship
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently earning a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field of study
- At least 1 year of experience with Python
- At least 1 year of experience with machine learning and various subfields (deep learning, Graph ML, NLP, explainability, etc.)
- At least 1 year of experience with relational databases
- At least 1 year of experience with large scale data analytics
- At least 1 year of experience with AWS
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to open source projects and proficient use of Git/GitHub
- Strong understanding of version control and collaborative development practices
