About the Role:

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our vendors (GPU/CPU, Thermal & Cooling system, Network). This role requires a deep understanding of compute manufacturing processes and quality management systems. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of driving continuous improvement with our key vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
  • Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics, including defect rates and delivery timelines.
  • Manage and resolve supplier quality issues, including non-conformances and deviations.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure components meet design specifications.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve product quality and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues early in the development and manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Directly participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a robust QMS aligned with industry regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the data center industry and compute manufacturing operations.
  • Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Possess a keen understanding of hardware manufacturing processes and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Are familiar with ISO standards, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Communicate effectively and work well in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in vendor management and supply chain quality control.
  • Experience with additional scripting languages or automation tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, QMS software and ERP systems (Netsuite preferred).
  • Travel 25-50%

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar.
  • Experience in the High Performance Compute sector.
  • Experience with lean principles.

The base salary range for this role is $157,000 to $210,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
