HPE Nonstop is a complete software stack and offers a rich suite of security products to protect Nonstop workloads and data - be it the new crypto, standards compliance, auditing, new security design in the enterprise and so on. Nonstop comes with its own unique security architecture that has continued to protect the Nonstop deployments over time. The portfolio of security products is enhanced at regular intervals to stay with times and ahead of the curve.
At Nonstop, we have been studying the trends, listening to our customers, and looking at ways to not only make Nonstop secure but also enable customers to secure their Nonstop environment and implement corporate security practices for their Nonstop infrastructure. Given that Nonstop is a complete software stack, we look at it in terms of – a) security infrastructure available in the platform for customers and application developers protect and secure the information flow b) Integrate into Enterprise’s Authentication and Access control architecture c) implement modern cryptography d) help customers monitor their Nonstop workloads using modern tools and techniques e) implement advanced forensics to track user actions f) help customers implement regular compliance measures and demonstrate compliance g) monitor emerging threats from a technology landscape, research and scout for solutions.
What you'll do:Leads multiple project teams of other software quality assurance engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of quality assurance for complex products and platforms, including testing strategy, analysis, coding, results evaluation, and proposed corrective actions.
Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development and quality assurance partners on software design and development.
Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with quality assurance guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software quality assurance leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software quality assurance organization.
Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Typically 10+ years experience
Experience in the qualification of secure software systems, security products and features (eg. SSL, SSH, IPSEC) on Linux or similar UNIX systems
Proven expertise in developing comprehensive test strategies based on architecture and software design for products and customer usage of the solutions.
Expertise in design and development of automation frameworks.
Strong knowledge of security basic concepts (authentication, access control, auditing, ciphers, cryptography, key management, etc) and security technologies
Extensive experience with multiple software quality assurance tools and processes
Experience in development of comprehensive test strategies
Knowledge and Skills:
Evaluating forms and processes for software testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
Good understanding of secure testing concepts, familiarity with system-level programming, OS internals
Advanced programming and scripting skills on Linux platforms
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to collaborate effectively across a geographically distributed cross-functional team
Excellent communication skills, ability to effectively communicate, influence and negotiate options at senior management levels.
Proven experience in coaching and mentoring of team members
Experience with AI is a plus.
