Job Description
This senior-level position is responsible for driving enterprise-wide quality assurance strategies, leading testing efforts for mission-critical systems, and influencing software quality standards across the organization. The engineer will work closely with senior leadership, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions. This role includes designing advanced test frameworks, leading innovation in QA practices, and serving as a subject matter expert.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Define and lead enterprise-level QA strategies and initiatives.
Analyze complex system architectures and business requirements to design scalable test solutions.
Design, develop, and execute a wide variety of manual and automated test cases.
Lead defect triage and resolution across multiple teams and platforms.
Analyze test results, document defects, and work closely with developers to ensure resolution.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align QA efforts with business goals.
Mentor and coach QA engineers across levels.
Maintain and enhance test plans, test cases, and test data based on evolving project needs.
Utilize DevTools to investigate issues and perform deeper validation.
Leverage tools like Jira, Confluence, XRay, or Testrail to manage test cases, defects, and documentation.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in software QA, testing, or engineering.
Required Qualifications:
Should have strong experience in testing both web and desktop applications.
Solid understanding of Quality Assurance lifecycle and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
Proficient in using browser DevTools—deep understanding of tabs like Console, Network, and Application.
Familiarity with Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, and test management platforms like XRay or Testrail.
Experience in writing and maintaining comprehensive test documentation.
Ability to write automated test cases using Python or similar scripting languages.

Domain knowledge or experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Familiarity with basic DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps).
Experience testing hardware controllers, RTUs (Remote Terminal Units), or similar embedded systems.
