Vice President Tech Platform - Product Owner

Job Description

Purpose of the role

To collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap. 

Accountabilities

• Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
• Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
• Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
• Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.

Embark your transformative journey as Vice President Tech Platform - Product Owner for Global Platform Engineering in Fraud Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for Platform product prioritization, strategy activities by following agile practices into the Fraud Tech area, ensuring the standards are adhered to and exceeded and that all project requirements are met. Person has to work with the business and other technology teams to understand and develop their business requirements from platform standpoint. You need to to formulate recommendations based on analysis in order to influence the decisions of the business, Translate the Platform Business requirements into functional requirements and work with the internal Tech teams and other delivery teams to define requirement scope and interdependencies, work with technology partners and 3rd party platform providers to ensure technology have a full understanding of the business requirements. You have be the SME for the platform products. The role is required to interact with various teams during requirement definition like Business, Domain Product, Finance, Risk and Compliance to understand the requirements.

This role is also expected to interact with the application vendor to define and clarify the requirements that are captured, interact with various dependent application teams in the landscape. We also need good general communication and documentation skills to give clear and concise descriptions in flexible terminology such that concepts can be described to the Business, Technical and Management stakeholders with equal flexibility.

To be successful as Vice President Tech Platform - Product Owner , you should have experience with:

• They should be Graduate / Post graduate.

• Having hands on experience in Product definations and well versed with Agile process and JIRA.

• Product backlog management.

• Should be aware of Infrastructure products , Private Cloud & Public Cloud domain.

Some other highly valued skills may include.

• Infrastructure as Code, No SQL DB , Public Cloud costing models & Tech Debt remediation.
