Tech Risk & Controls Lead -Executive Content & Committee Governance

Join our team to play a pivotal role in mitigating tech risks and upholding operational excellence, driving innovation in risk management.
As a Tech Risk & Controls Lead in Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team, you will be responsible for identifying, and mitigating compliance and operational risks in line with the firm's standards. You will also provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance to technology-aligned process owners, ensuring that implemented controls are operating effectively and in compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry standards. By partnering with various stakeholders, including Product Owners, Business Control Managers, and Regulators, you will contribute to the reporting of a comprehensive view of technology risk posture and its impact on the business. Your advanced knowledge of risk management principles, practices, and theories will enable you to drive innovative solutions and effectively manage a diverse team in a dynamic and evolving risk landscape.
Job responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of the Business Control Committee under Global Technology, including setting agendas, maintaining a calendar, ensuring compliance, and overseeing logistics.
- Oversee Regional Technology Governance Committees and Management forums to facilitate discussions and decisions on organizational challenges and opportunities.
- Execute reporting and governance of controls, policies, and issue management, providing insights to senior leaders on control effectiveness.
- Collaborate with senior GT leadership to create and disseminate content on special topics, focusing on risk posture for senior management.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Analyze changes to KRIs, KPIs, and operational metrics for technology controls, and communicate impacts to JPM Line of Business.
- Track and communicate changes through weekly meetings with LOB Information Security Managers, Technology Risk & Control Managers, and relevant stakeholders.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Tech Risk & Control concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Expertise in creating executive-level presentations that simplify complex technology and cybersecurity topics for non-technical business leaders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management across various JPMorgan Chase Lines of Businesses.
- Focused on execution with the ability to meet tight deadlines, work under pressure, and confidently escalate issues when necessary.
- Skilled in persuasion and influence, with strong collaboration and negotiation abilities.
- Capable of developing and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to analyze technology and controls-focused changes and regulations.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiar in leading or managing the execution of senior management-level governance committees and forums.
- Familiar in technology, cybersecurity, and/or risk management domains
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging technology standards, frameworks, compliance, and best practice/standards relevant to the financial industry (e.g., ITIL, NIST, ISO, PCI, SOC)
