Mactores is looking for a highly skilled Technical Content Writer who can transform complex, cutting-edge cloud and data engineering concepts into authoritative, deeply technical, and visually compelling content — written specifically for the US B2B market.
This is not a generalist writing role. We need someone who can go deep technically while also bringing a strong marketing sensibility to everything they produce. You will own content end-to-end — from researching and writing L300/L400-level technical blogs to crafting sharp social copy and designing graphic-rich assets that make complex ideas immediately digestible.
You will work at the intersection of deep technical knowledge, AI-assisted productivity, visual storytelling, and SEO-driven content strategy — producing content that ranks, resonates, and drives enterprise pipeline in the US market.
What you will do?
- Research, write, and publish L300/L400-level technical blogs, deep-dive articles, whitepapers, case studies, and solution briefs across AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure
- Translate complex architectural concepts — such as Apache Iceberg lakehouses, Oracle-to-Aurora migrations, Spark optimization, and cloud-native DataOps — into structured, accurate, and engaging long-form content
- Independently produce both long-form and short-form content including blog posts, technical tutorials, solution walkthroughs, comparison guides, newsletters, LinkedIn posts, and marketing copy — without requiring significant editorial hand-holding
- Collaborate closely with solution architects, data engineers, and SMEs to validate technical accuracy and extract deep implementation-level insights
- Design and produce visually compelling content assets — including custom diagrams, architecture illustrations, infographics, social graphics, and data visualizations — to accompany technical writing
- Use tools such as Canva, Figma, Adobe Express, or equivalent to independently create polished, on-brand visual content that enhances comprehension of complex topics
- Develop graphic-rich formats like one-pagers, solution briefs, and visual explainers that are optimized for US B2B audiences across digital and print channels
- Apply visual storytelling principles to make technical content more accessible and shareable across LinkedIn and partner platforms
- Write with a clear understanding of US B2B buyer behavior, content expectations, and purchasing journeys — from developer-level practitioners to VP and C-suite decision-makers
- Adapt tone, format, and messaging to suit different segments of the US market — ensuring content resonates whether it's aimed at a data engineer, an IT director, or a CFO evaluating cloud ROI
- Contribute to co-branded content initiatives with AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks including blogs, webinars, and roadshow materials aligned with US go-to-market priorities
- Repurpose long-form technical content into social-ready formats for LinkedIn, newsletters, and partner channels with messaging tuned for the US audience
- Actively use AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grammarly, and others) to accelerate research, drafting, editing, and content ideation
- Apply AI tools to improve content structure, readability, and technical depth — as a force multiplier for quality and output velocity, not a substitute for expertise
- Stay current with the evolving AI content tooling landscape and continuously integrate better tools and workflows into your process
- Own the SEO strategy for all published content — including keyword research, search intent mapping, on-page optimization, internal linking, meta descriptions, and structured data
- Use tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, or Surfer SEO to identify content opportunities, track rankings, and optimize existing content
- Write content that balances deep technical authority with discoverability — ensuring L300/L400 topics rank for high-intent, long-tail search queries used by engineers and architects in the US
- Conduct regular content audits and refreshes to keep published blogs current with evolving platform features and industry trends
- Optimize content structure for featured snippets, People Also Ask, and rich results where applicable
- Track content performance metrics (organic traffic, time on page, conversions, backlinks) and use data to continuously refine the content strategy
What are we looking for?
- 4+ years of experience creating technical content in the cloud, data engineering, or analytics domain — with a strong portfolio that demonstrates both technical depth and marketing polish
- Demonstrated ability to write L300/L400-level content — comfortable writing about topics like distributed query optimization, schema evolution in Iceberg, PL/SQL-to-PostgreSQL conversion, or Spark-on-EMR tuning without needing significant guidance from engineers
- Excellent written English with the ability to communicate clearly, precisely, and effectively for a US B2B audience — understanding American business communication norms, tone, and content expectations
- Proven ability to independently produce both long-form and short-form content across formats without relying on extensive editorial support
- Hands-on experience creating visually appealing, graphic-rich content — including infographics, diagrams, social assets, and visual explainers using design tools
- Hands-on familiarity or working knowledge of at least two of the following platforms: AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals — keyword research, on-page SEO, content architecture, backlink strategy, and performance tracking
- Proficiency with AI writing and productivity tools and a demonstrated habit of using them to improve output quality and efficiency
- Experience with a CMS platform (HubSpot, WordPress, or equivalent)
- Marketing-focused background — formal education or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred
You'll be preferred if
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Certification in one or more of: AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure
- Certification or coursework in Technical Writing or Content Strategy
- Experience writing content for an AWS Partner, ISV, or cloud consultancy targeting the US market
- Familiarity with Apache Iceberg, Apache Spark, dbt, Kafka, or similar open-source data technologies
- Experience contributing to or ghostwriting for AWS blogs, Databricks blog, or Snowflake Medium publications
- Working knowledge of HTML/Markdown for CMS publishing
- Demonstrated understanding of US B2B advertising norms, including familiarity with how US enterprise buyers consume and evaluate technical content
