Job Description – Technical Lead – Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Commerce Cloud expert with deep, hands-on experience in Adyen payments integration to lead and execute the upgrade of our existing Adyen cartridge in SFCC (B2C Commerce).
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the current Adyen cartridge implementation and identify all customizations, extensions, and dependencies.
- Plan and execute the full upgrade of the Adyen cartridge (including configuration, code migration, and version-specific changes).
- Lead end-to-end technical delivery of B2C Commerce Cloud implementations, including storefront development, checkout flows, promotions, and personalization.
- Architect and implement solutions using SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture), Headless Commerce (OCAPI/SCAPI), PWA Kit, and composable commerce patterns.
- Design and develop reusable cartridges, custom controllers, pipelines, and robust integrations with OMS, payment gateways, CRM, ERP, and third-party services.
- Own performance optimization, caching strategies, SEO, accessibility, and security best practices across multi-site, multi-brand, and multi-language environments.
- Ensure PCI-DSS compliance, security best practices, and seamless integration with SFCC storefront and backend systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any upgrade-related issues (e.g., API changes, breaking changes, custom hooks).
- Manage release cycles, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and environment management (sandboxes, GitFlow).
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / B2C Commerce) development and architecture.
- Proven experience with Adyen cartridge implementation and upgrades in production SFCC environments (must have successfully upgraded the Adyen cartridge at least once from an older version to a newer one).
- Deep knowledge of Adyen payments platform including:
- Adyen Web Drop-in / Components
- Payment methods (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, local methods)
- Webhook handling and notification processing
- Adyen Order Management (manual capture, refunds, cancellations)
- Risk management and 3DS flows
- Strong proficiency in SFCC technologies: JavaScript Controllers, ISML templates, Hooks, Custom Objects, OCAPI, Data API, and cartridge development best practices.
- Experience working with SFCC pipelines, jobs, and site preferences related to payments.
- Solid understanding of payment industry standards (PCI-DSS, PSD2, SCA, etc.).
Nice to Haves
- Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer or Architect certification.
- Experience with other payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) in SFCC.
- Familiarity with SFCC storefront reference architecture (SFRA) or PWA Kit.
- Experience in agile environments and using version control (Git).
- Previous work with Indian or APAC payment methods is a plus.
