We are seeking an experienced Malware Researcher with deep expertise in malware analysis, reverse engineering, and threat intelligence for a Tech Manager position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing sophisticated threats, developing detection strategies, and contributing to advanced security research initiatives and a strong technical leadership skills.
Required Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Malware Analysis and In-depth practical knowledge of AV products and their use to protect the clients
- 2+ years of Technical Leadership experience.
- Excellent understanding of x86, x64 and ARM Linux / Mac OS architecture is plus.
- Proficiency in C/C++, WIN32 API, Assembly. Knowledge of .NET/C# or other language is
- Excellent understanding of Windows OS Linux and Mac knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience in reverse engineering using disassemblers like IDA Pro or Ghidra or OllyDbg/Immunity Debugger.
- Conduct advanced research on malwares using reverse engineering, static and dynamic analysis, Heuristics, Memory and behavioral based analysis.
- Experience on Malware Evasion Techniques like encryption/obfuscation, Packing/Unpacking, Polymorphism, Anti-VM Techniques, Anti-debugging techniques
- Excellent understanding of Ransomware or latest trends to identify and block or mitigate
- Experience with debuggers such as Windbg, ollydbg
- Experience in creation of Generic and Heuristic Signatures, YARA Rules etc to identify easily and provide detection solution promptly.
- Hands-on experience in scripting languages (PowerShell, shell scripting/Python etc)
- Creation of tools, scripts and automation to identify, categorize and assist in malware analysis faster, better and more Use of the latest technology, like Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, will differentiate the uniqueness of a product.
- Advocate for security research, findings and threat insights to internal stakeholders and externally through blogs, whitepapers, industry conferences, and strategic partnerships.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and industry trends to detect Zero-day and unknown malwares.
Good to have:
- Knowledge of Network Traffic analysis and Monitoring, Anomaly detection, IDS and IPS to identify and block network malwares.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework to improve the malware detection and
Technical Leadership Skills:
- Collaboration with cross team like Development team to incorporate a new security feature or enhancement of existing features.
- Excellent Problem and customer issue solving skills
- Perform Competitors analysis to finding out new ideas and features that will assist creating a unique and world class security product.
- Knowledge of Security product certifications like VB100, AV-TEST, SE Labs, Microsoft Performance Submission for kernel drivers etc.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-caliber malware research Provide feedback timely to improve the productivity of a team.
- Define the strategic roadmap for the team, aligning research initiatives with business and security objectives.
