What you will be doing:

• Develop and maintain technical documentation including user manuals, API documentation, release notes, and other product-related materials.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Translate technical concepts and specifications into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for various audiences.
• Organize and structure content effectively to facilitate easy navigation and comprehension.
• Review and edit documentation for grammar, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve documentation quality and processes.
• Participate in the planning and execution of documentation projects, including prioritizing tasks, estimating timelines, and tracking progress.
• Provide guidance and support to junior members of the documentation team, as needed.

What we are looking for:

• Candidate should be familiar with standard documentation styles and guidelines like Microsoft Style Guide, Chicago Manual of Style etc.
• Ability to use MS Azure DevOps and Jira task tracking tools.
• Candidate should be detail-oriented and having a strong commitment to accuracy for achieving product success and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in technical writing tools and software such as Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar.
• Strong understanding of documentation best practices, including information architecture, content organization, and writing for different audiences and formats.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with agile documentation practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and documentation publishing tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in technical writing or related field, preferably in the software industry.
• Demonstrated portfolio of technical documentation samples showcasing writing proficiency and ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
• Experience working with software development teams and knowledge of software development processes and methodologies.
• Certification in technical writing or related field (e.g., Certified Professional Technical Communicator) is a plus.
• Experience with graphics and multimedia tools for creating visuals and video tutorials is desirable but not required.
