About the Role:
We are looking for a Data Engineer who has a strong background in database architecture, relational data modeling, and data transformation. In this role, you will be responsible for designing efficient database schemas, normalizing data, and optimizing data storage using PostgreSQL for our Turbo product. Your expertise will play a key role in transforming raw data, ensuring data integrity, and loading it into our databases. Additionally, an understanding of financial data will be highly valued.
Who You Are:
- You have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on database architecture and relational data models.
- You possess advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and are proficient in normalizing databases to ensure scalability and performance.
- You are experienced in working with raw, unstructured data, applying cleaning, transformation, and loading techniques to make the data ready for efficient storage and querying.
- You have a deep understanding of data structures and can design databases that support large-scale data operations.
- You are capable of designing and implementing robust data pipelines that ensure clean, accurate data is delivered to the Turbo product.
- An understanding of financial data is a plus, helping you to design data models that align with industry-specific requirements.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement relational database models, focusing on normalization and optimization to ensure efficiency and performance at scale.
- Take raw data, clean, transform, and load it into databases in a structured, efficient format to support the Turbo product.
- Utilize your advanced PostgreSQL skills to optimize data storage, query performance, and database structure for large datasets.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency throughout the pipeline, from transformation to storage.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the data needs of the Turbo product and ensure the data pipeline aligns with business objectives.
- Leverage your understanding of financial data (if applicable) to tailor data models and transformations to meet industry standards and business needs.
