Role Objective
Contingent Worker Role: The Testing and QA Lead will be responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing all quality assurance and testing activities for the upcoming project. This includes managing Systems Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and usability. The role combines hands-on test management, team coordination, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement to enable a successful project rollout.
Main Responsibilities
Define and drive test strategy
- Define and lead test strategy across SIT, UAT, regression, and integration testing phases.
- Manage functional and non-functional testing, including performance, security, and scalability.
- Develop and manage the strategy for security testing, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing, to ensure the ERP system and its integrations are secure.
Execute and manage testing
- Set up and maintain testing frameworks, ensuring traceability and alignment with requirements.
- Monitor and report on test progress, quality metrics, providing clear Go/No-Go recommendations.
- Coordinate defect tracking and resolution, collaborating with development and business teams.
Ensure quality assurance and compliance
- Define and follow up on quality metrics, ensuring structured QA processes.
- Guard and optimize test methodologies, tools, and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with project governance and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in QA processes, tools, and automation.
Collaborate with stakeholders
- Work with development teams, integration partners, and business stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Support the release process by preparing test documentation and progress reporting.
- Facilitate communication internally and externally.
- Collaborate with business users and external partners during UAT, ensuring requirements are validated effectively.
- Share application and process knowledge across departments.
- Provide knowledge transfer and feedback to customer-facing teams.
Lead and mentor teams
- Coordinate QA tasks and mentor engineers to ensure alignment and growth.
Manage environments and provide support
- Maintain and monitor test environments, including hardware and software infrastructure.
- Oversee setup and updates of test/demo servers in collaboration with IT.
- Collaborate with Customer Support to reproduce, analyze, and resolve escalated issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Solid professional experience in software and ERP testing, including Oracle, SAP and end-to-end testing phases (SIT, UAT, regression, integration).
- Strong knowledge of software testing theory, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, HP ALM, Oracle Test Manager).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
