Trade & Working Capital Product Manager - Payments - Vice President
Job Description
Trade & Working Capital ("T&WC") is a division of J.P. Morgan Payments. T&WC connects counterparties with market-leading Supply Chain Finance (SCF), Receivables Finance, Working Capital Lending, Export Agency Finance (EAF), and Traditional Trade solutions. Core Trade is part of (T&WC) and includes Trade Loans, Commercial & Standby Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Corporate Draft Discounting, Documentary Collections and other Core Product offerings to corporations and financial institutions.
As a Product Manager in India T&WC, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy, development, execution, maintenance and commercialization of the Core Trade and Supply Chain Finance (SCF) solutions that J.P. Morgan offers to corporations and financial institutions in India and South Asia.
The position will be based in Mumbai, reporting into the T&WC Product Head, India.
Job responsibilities
- Manage the product development and execution by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies to achieve enhanced capabilities, reduce risk, increase operational efficiency, and propel revenue growth in alignment with the global strategy
- Deliver on revenue goals, achieve expense targets, manage cost allocations and product-specific initiatives.
- Ensure good understanding of the clients and markets, assess current client portfolio and identify opportunities to tweak existing business flows to grow J.P. Morgan wallet share from existing client base. Anticipate internal and external factors impacting business and implement plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
- Serve as the key point of connection with regulators, engagement with Audit and Business Controls.
- Provide market updates, trends and guidance on new or changes to regulations impacting T&WC products and solutions.
- Interface with sales to provide technical product support, including for client pitch and response to RFP
- Manage product level governance and risk and control environment, including product approvals and develop strong cross functional collaboration with Risk, Legal, Credit and Compliance.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Masters or Post Graduate degree with 8+ years of experience in Trade & Working Capital with expertise in delivering traditional and structured trade products
- Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
- Experience in product management and development experience within a Wholesale, Investment or Commercial bank
- Exceptional organization, communication and management skills.
- Creative and problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions
- Strong presentation skills; can sell self and ideas.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience of Trade Finance from either a Product, Sales, Operations or Client Service perspective
- Experience with digital transformation and fintech integration in trade finance
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and methodologies
- Experience with emerging technologies in trade finance
- Experience with and/or prior collaboration with Sales, Legal and Compliance, Operations and Technology
