The position / About the Job:
In this job the Unit Manager would be responsible for:
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the performance and output of the unit, including financial responsibility
- Set and follow up targets for the unit, broken down from factory level
- Drive the development of the unit
- Responsible for
- safety and quality of the processes and product
- Quality
- Delivery
- Cost
- Secure Standardized work & SOP
- Ensure Man/Machine/Material/Method/Measurement synchronization to achieve the desired o/p
- Excellent manpower handling skills
- Experience of hands on working of CNC machines/SPM/Conventional machines
- Experience in Machining, Forming and Joining processes
- Have managed Union operators alongwith experience in wage settlement contract
- Participate in making the Operational plan
- Make costing update for the unit
- Support and initiate suppliers development activities together with support functions
- Support Problem Solving & Improvement activities
- Understand and deal with the real problems of the unit by being present in the factory.
- Involved in new product development and give input to EPD (Existing Product Development)
- Secure ALPS / Lean Six Sigma / 5S and other Operations initiative in the unit
- Perform audits according to ALPC
- Responsible for that AL Supply chain processes within the unit are implemented and maintained.

Qualifications & experience:
- Master of Engineering or equivalent experience
- Leadership and management skills and experience
- 8 Years of experience from production/ Manufacturing company
- Experience from improvement tools, e g 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen
- Project work experience
