Develop and maintain software, troubleshoot various programming languages, analyze business needs, and apply software development methodologies.
- Develop and maintain software using programming concepts and software development processes.
- Conduct research, analysis and document/review technical designs and specifications.
- Professional experience in reading, designing, developing, and troubleshooting software in languages such as Unibasic/Pickbasic, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, and SQL; and with markup languages such as HTML and XML.
- Strong understanding of and ability to use OO programming and UML.
- Good experience in designing and developing with database systems (e.g. SQL, multi-value, NoSQL).
- Ability to understand and analyze business needs.
- Has good knowledge and experience of one-or-more software development methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Scrum).
- Knowledge or experience of multi-value databases preferred.
- Knowledge and experience of working with UNIX systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of the core concepts of software design and architecture.
- Strong working knowledge of business systems and process beyond their area of expertise.
- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, as applied to both technical and nontechnical subject matter.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
