Position: Design Lead
Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Role Description
We are seeking a lead designer to work on-site from our office in Pune. The Lead Designer will be responsible for leading the design team, creating designs for web and mobile applications, providing client recommendations, managing & inspiring designers. The lead designer will also provide design direction for both Wednesday (wednesday.is) & Tuesday's (tuesday.is) endeavours.
Responsibilities
- Understand the problem: Understand what our customers are doing for their users. What pain points are they solving?
- Understand the goal: Understand what they want to achieve.
- Understand the strategy: Understand their product strategy. How do they plan to achieve their goal?
- Create a design strategy: Define the design direction and have a clear vision for the product.
- Lead: Guide and lead a team of designers to execute the design strategy.
- Learn: Learn new skills and build design practices. Strengthen the craft.
- Showcase: Showcase your and your team's expertise.
- Differentiate: Differentiate Wednesday & Tuesday’s services by identifying USPs.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management abilities.
- Drive Vision: Ability to drive stakeholder vision by aligning team members and focusing on outcomes and actionables.
Requirements
- Exception visual and experience design capabilities.
- Should have hands-on product design experience and a portfolio.
- Min 4 years of experience in a product design role.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Understanding of design systems.
- Attention to detail and care about team deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills.
