We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Workday Adaptive Planning Consultant with 3–6 years of professional experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in consulting and Workday Adaptive Planning, with the ability to understand business requirements, translate them into effective planning solutions, and support organizations in improving their financial planning and analysis processes.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable planning solutions, optimize existing processes, and ensure successful adoption of Workday Adaptive Planning.


RequirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand business requirements, financial planning processes, challenges, and objectives.
  • Provide consulting and functional expertise across Workday Adaptive Planning solutions.
  • Analyze existing planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes and recommend improvements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and effective Adaptive Planning solutions.
  • Configure and maintain Adaptive Planning models, dimensions, sheets, versions, assumptions, reports, dashboards, and planning structures.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, financial modeling, and management reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with finance and business teams to design planning models aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Assist in data integration, data validation, and reconciliation between Adaptive Planning and other enterprise systems.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and provide timely resolutions while maintaining data accuracy and system performance.
  • Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, solution walkthroughs, user training, and knowledge-transfer sessions.
  • Prepare functional documentation, process flows, configuration specifications, and user guides.
  • Support testing activities, including functional testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on Workday Adaptive Planning capabilities, best practices, and evolving financial planning requirements.
Must-Have Skills
  • 3–6 years of experience in consulting, financial planning, business analysis, or enterprise planning solutions.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Excellent consulting and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting processes.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into functional solutions.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and provide practical, scalable recommendations.
  • Good understanding of Adaptive Planning concepts such as dimensions, accounts, levels, versions, sheets, assumptions, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with finance, business, and technical stakeholders.
Good-to-Have Skills
  • Experience in Workday Adaptive Planning implementation projects.
  • Exposure to end-to-end implementation methodologies and project lifecycles.
  • Experience with integrations between Adaptive Planning and ERP, HR, or financial systems.
  • Knowledge of data import/export processes and integration tools.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and management reporting solutions.
  • Workday Adaptive Planning certification or relevant Workday training.
  • Exposure to Agile or other structured project delivery methodologies.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Relevant professional certifications or equivalent practical experience will be an advantage.
