About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA/Testing Lead to join our Workday team. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to shape our Workday testing strategy and processes from the ground up. You will be instrumental in building a robust, scalable, and repeatable testing framework that supports both enhancements and business-as-usual updates. Objectives
· Ensure the highest quality of Workday enhancement and incident-fix releases by developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies.
· Design testing plans, framework including review scenarios/scripts that align with product team goals and customer needs.
· Collaborate across functions to incorporate necessary product changes and ensure seamless delivery.
Responsibilities
· Develop or review and execute test scenarios/scripts and or more formal plans, to validate product functionality against requirements and specifications.
· Perform functional, security, and regression testing of enhancement/incident-fix releases in conjunction with the regional business leads.
· Coordinate with regional business Leads, business testers, and Build Team to ensure reported defects and issues from UAT are resolved or addressed
· Ensure timely completion of tests and clear communication of results.
· Support regular audit team request for information on test process
· Provide actionable feedback to improve application enhancement development, testing and deployment processes.
· Stay current with the latest testing tools, techniques, and methodologies and provide recommendations on testing standards, practices, and documentation including the use of testing automation tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
· 6-8 years of Workday functional experience in Core HR, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Talent/Performance Management and Security
· Workday Report Writer skills to pull test data and audit related information out of Workday
· Familiarity with ServiceNow case management system
· Exposure to in-depth Workday configuration and end-to-end solutions, including downstream system impacts, is not essential but an advantage
· 2–3 years of experience in QA/testing roles, ideally within SaaS support organization or tech consultancy environments.
· Strong understanding of Agile testing practices and the four quadrants of testing.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
· Stakeholder expectation management
