Block’s investment here reflects our confidence in the region’s regulatory environment, entrepreneurial spirit and the calibre of talent available. We’re committed to being an active partner in Dublin’s continued economic success.
The interconnected facilities will provide data privacy and sovereignty compliance, high-performance, flexibility and low-latency edge connectivity to thousands of ecosystems and cloud environments.

Block’s new office in Sydney’s Tech Central precinct marks the company’s second flagship office in Australia, alongside its existing presence in Melbourne…The office unites teams from across Block’s ecosystem, such as Afterpay, Square, Cash App and TIDAL, to create a central hub that supports diverse work styles and needs.

We believe that, in the future of our global, digital economy, customers will demand ownership and control, and thus self-custody wallets will become the norm. It brings peace of mind, reduces dependence on any one company and puts customers in true control of their own money.

We’re a very different company today than we were a few years ago. We are far more integrated as a business across our different brands. We’re far more disciplined, even mature as a business. The way we got there is first and foremost changing our organizational model, and some of our leadership.
