Develops automotive mobility-system layouts and packaged component designs using NX. Creates solid and surface models for plastics and sheet-metal parts while ensuring performance targets and manufacturing feasibility. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, apply current technologies, and reduce design and component costs. Requires an engineering degree, 5–7 years of relevant experience, NX proficiency, and strong communication skills.

Perform automotive crash and durability CAE analyses using linear, nonlinear, static, and dynamic methods. Build meshes and preprocess models with HyperWorks tools, conduct durability analysis using OptiStruct or Nastran, and post-process results. Correlate simulations with physical test data, develop countermeasures, resolve complex problems, communicate milestones, and maintain project schedules in Excel.

Design automotive interior and console components using CATIA, developing layouts for mobility systems and packaging parts to meet performance targets. Apply engineering principles, use CATIA workbenches for part, surface, drafting, and assembly design, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, adopt current technology, and reduce design and part costs.
