Develops interlocking logic, applies IEC and IEEE standards, coordinates with clients and site teams, and reviews panel equipment and operating mechanisms. Requires expertise in protection relays, BCUs, SCADA, AutoCAD, and E-Plan, along with electrical engineering qualifications and at least four years of relevant experience.

Design schematics and manufacturing documentation for high-voltage substation control and protection panels, Local Control Cubicles, control and relay panels, and Substation Automation Systems. Apply IEC and IEEE standards, develop interlocking logic, and work with switchgear, protection relays, Bay Control Units, and circuit-breaker mechanisms. Collaborate with site teams and clients to incorporate design inputs. Use AutoCAD or EPLAN for schematic and panel design.

Manage electrical EPC substation projects from initiation through closure, coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, vendors, clients, and site teams. Prepare execution plans, schedules, BOQs, cost estimates, budgets, financial analyses, and technical documentation. Review electrical drawings, support material selection and approvals, assess risks, monitor project performance, ensure compliance with standards, and provide technical guidance for GIS equipment, substations, LV cabling, testing, and site execution.

Manages secondary engineering for substation projects, including contract review, vendor and client coordination, engineering schedules, budgets, approvals, technical documentation, system studies, design concepts, calculations, detailed drawings, testing reports, and site support. Leads preparation of protection, control, communication, cable, and equipment documentation while resolving technical issues and ensuring projects meet stringent timelines.

Design and develop mechanical components, layouts, and manufacturing drawings for distribution and power transformers. Create 2D AutoCAD layouts and 3D solid models, interpret customer specifications and international standards, optimize transformer components such as tanks, and produce accurate drawings using established checklists. The role also requires collaboration, problem solving, communication, and adherence to manufacturing requirements.

Configure, deploy, maintain, and upgrade CAD models and systems. Design and develop high-quality 2D and 3D models that meet feasibility, performance, cost, quality, safety, compliance, and timing requirements. Manage engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, clients, subcontractors, vendors, stakeholders, financial controls, risks, and compliance. Resolve technical and commercial issues, oversee energization and performance testing, report project progress, improve processes, and mentor cross-functional project teams.

Manage on-site construction for a STATCOM project, coordinating civil, electrical, mechanical, control, protection, and commissioning teams. Oversee contractors, resources, materials, safety, quality, schedules, statutory compliance, documentation, testing, commissioning, punch-list closure, and project handover. Resolve site issues, conduct progress reviews, coordinate with clients and vendors, and maintain as-built records and handover dossiers.
