The role handles high-volume streaming workloads, improves reliability, performance, security, and cost efficiency, collaborates with engineering and product teams, serves as a technical lead, mentors engineers, and partners with application teams to deliver customer solutions.

Design, build, and operate high-scale data routing, ingestion, and processing systems for Twilio Segment. Develop scalable distributed services in cloud environments, collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams, communicate technical trade-offs, mentor junior engineers, and participate in on-call support. Improve reliability, troubleshoot production issues, and refine operational tooling while delivering customer-focused features through modern CI/CD practices.

Leads technical direction and architecture for Twilio Flex’s high-scale TaskRouter backend services. Designs distributed systems, APIs, data architectures, and migration strategies; improves scalability, resilience, availability, observability, and operational excellence. Partners across engineering and product, influences roadmaps, leads design and code reviews, mentors engineers, and supports incident response. Requires extensive backend development experience, AWS expertise, distributed systems knowledge, and experience with databases and CI/CD.
