Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic and results-driven Account Executive - Business Development to join our Enterprise Sales team.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving new customer acquisition across large enterprise accounts, developing targeted market strategies, building a strong sales pipeline, and securing new logo customers within the manufacturing and conglomerate sectors.
You will work as an individual contributor, partnering closely with Enterprise Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to identify high-value opportunities, engage senior stakeholders, and position Iron Mountain's solutions to address complex business and digital transformation needs.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you will:
Drive New Customer Acquisition & Revenue Growth:
Develop and execute targeted acquisition strategies to identify, engage, and convert high-value prospects and new logo customers across the manufacturing and conglomerate sectors.
Build and Manage Enterprise Pipeline:
Proactively identify new business opportunities through market research, prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline aligned with revenue and bookings targets.
Lead Complex Enterprise Sales Cycles:
Own the end-to-end acquisition process from prospect identification and qualification through solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and closure of complex, multi-year deals.
Build CXO-Level Relationships:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with CEOs, CXOs, and senior business leaders, understanding their strategic priorities and positioning Iron Mountain as a trusted partner for their business and digital transformation needs.
Develop Market & Account Strategies:
Identify target accounts, understand market trends and competitive dynamics, and develop account-specific strategies to penetrate new organizations and expand Iron Mountain's market presence.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
Work closely with Enterprise Sales, Marketing, Product, Solutions, Finance, and Operations teams to develop compelling customer propositions, respond to RFPs, structure commercial models, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Drive Market Intelligence & Governance:
Provide insights on customer needs, competitive activity, market trends, and acquisition opportunities. Maintain accurate pipeline information and ensure adherence to sales processes and reporting standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
10+ years of experience in B2B sales acquisition, business development, or enterprise sales, with a strong focus on new customer acquisition and new logo hunting.
Proven track record of acquiring new enterprise customers and consistently delivering against revenue and bookings targets.
Strong experience in the manufacturing, conglomerate, technology, IT services, or technology-enabled services sectors.
Demonstrated ability to build and manage a large enterprise sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and market development.
Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles, including RFPs, commercial negotiations, solution selling, and complex deal closures.
Proven ability to build relationships with CXO and senior-level stakeholders and influence strategic business decisions.
Strong market intelligence, account planning, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand customer business challenges and translate them into relevant solutions.
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
