The Clinical Data Abstraction Advisor ensures quality in data abstraction processes, mentors new hires, and collaborates with stakeholders to improve data quality.
The Advisor – Clinical Data Abstraction serves as a key member of the account team as a subject matter expert, ensuring partner satisfaction by overseeing all quality‑related functions, audit processes, and validation of abstractor accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert in assigned site/ registry/ measure. Provide expert abstraction support while performing day-to-day abstraction tasks.
- Work closely with the Clinical Leads, as needed, for case-specific questions
- Other partner tasks, as delegated by the Clinical Services Lead or the Senior Manager/Manager
- Mentor, train and provide guidance to new hires; Audit the abstracted cases
- Stay up to date on mandated regulatory/publicly reported data requirements as specified by federal, state, payer, and other agencies.
- Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and other business rule documents while also identifying process improvement opportunities to help streamline tasks and processes.
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with, researchers, and data coordinators to improve data abstraction quality and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external registry partners.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Health Informatics, Nursing, BDS, MBBS, BAMS, BHMS.
- Understanding of HIPAA, and clinical research regulatory requirements.
