Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Digital Operations Lead Architect to drive enterprise digital operations transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Azure cloud technologies, Databricks, SQL, Data Quality, DevOps, and enterprise architecture, along with proven leadership in stakeholder engagement and team management. This role will be responsible for designing scalable digital operations solutions, leading cross-functional teams, ensuring operational excellence, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Operations & Solution Architecture

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Digital Operations (DigiOps) solutions across enterprise platforms.
• Define scalable, secure, and high-performing architecture standards and best practices.
• Drive operational modernization initiatives using cloud-native and data engineering technologies.
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to align architecture with strategic objectives.
• Design integrated operational ecosystems leveraging automation, analytics, and cloud capabilities.

Azure & Data Engineering Leadership

• Architect and oversee enterprise data platforms using Azure services and Azure Databricks.
• Lead the design and optimization of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data processing frameworks.
• Ensure efficient data storage, transformation, and analytics solutions.
• Drive SQL optimization, database performance tuning, and data modeling best practices.
• Provide technical leadership on cloud migration and modernization programs.

Data Quality & Governance

• Define and implement enterprise data quality frameworks and governance standards.
• Establish monitoring mechanisms for data integrity, consistency, and compliance.
• Collaborate with governance and business teams to ensure trusted and reliable data assets.
• Drive root cause analysis and remediation strategies for data quality issues.

DevOps & Operational Excellence

• Lead CI/CD strategy and deployment automation initiatives.
• Define DevOps standards, release management processes, and operational monitoring frameworks.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, security, and high availability.
• Promote Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation best practices.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure platform resilience.

Stakeholder & Program Management

• Engage with senior business stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and operational challenges.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical and operational solutions.
• Provide architecture governance, technical advisory, and executive-level reporting.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, analytics, and business teams.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead and mentor engineering, operations, and data teams.
• Drive capability building, technical coaching, and performance management.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage delivery planning, resource allocation, and execution oversight.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Digital Operations (DigiOps) transformation and enterprise architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem.
• Strong expertise in Azure Databricks and large-scale data engineering solutions.
• Advanced SQL skills including optimization, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Experience implementing enterprise Data Quality and Data Governance frameworks.
• Strong exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
• Experience with cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and scalable platforms.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks, PySpark, and big data technologies.
• Familiarity with API integrations, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

Leadership & Management Skills

• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional and distributed teams.
• Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and governance capabilities.
• Experience managing enterprise delivery and operational transformation programs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Power BI.
• Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms.
• Experience in Agile, SAFe, or enterprise delivery frameworks.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Digital Operations, Data Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or Enterprise Technology roles.
• 5+ years of experience in architecture leadership, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
