What contribution will I make to Helen of Troy?
We are seeking an experienced Associate Business Development Manager to join our Japan team and lead the go-to-market (GTM) execution for our wellness category. This role is critical for launching and scaling products in Japan, driving revenue growth, and building strong presence across both online and offline channels. The position requires a strategic mindset, strong execution skills, and close collaboration with regional teams.

What you will be doing:

  • Sales & Growth
    • Achieve sales targets and deliver on KPIs: revenue, market share, sales growth, and ROI.
    • Develop and execute GTM strategies aligned with regional objectives.
  • Distributor & Channel Management
    • Coordinate with distributors to ensure smooth operations and compliance with brand standards.
    • Expand offline retail channels such as pharmacies and drugstores.
  • E-Commerce & Online Platforms
    • Drive performance on major e-commerce platforms (Rakuten, Amazon) and other online channels.
    • Plan and execute performance marketing activities and activations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with the Regional Marketing Team and external agencies to implement campaigns and activations.
    • Align sales and marketing strategies to maximize impact.
  • Market Insights
    • Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to optimize strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in sales, e-commerce, or related roles within consumer goods or wellness category.
  • Solid experience with e-commerce platforms (Rakuten, Amazon) and performance marketing.
  • Experience with offline retail channels (pharmacies, drugstores).
  • Native Japanese and business level English proficiency.
  • Experience managing distributors is a plus.
  • Experience in medical device category is a plus.
