Position Summary

The BOM Engineer is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials throughout the product lifecycle. This role ensures that engineering designs are translated into correct material structures and that product data is consistent across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate multi-level Bills of Materials based on engineering drawings and specifications.

    • Create, maintain and validate EBOM and MBOM.

    • Create, maintain and validate Engineering Items numbers.

    • Ensure BOM accuracy, completeness, and revision control.

    • Manage Engineering Change Numbers (ECN / ECO)

  • Create 150% base structure and configured into the 100% BOM in PLM system

    ·     

  • Ensure data consistency across PLM and ERP systems.

  • Ensure BOM structure adheres to company standards and engineering requirements

  • Work closely with design, R&D, and engineering teams to interpret technical documents and update BOMs accordingly.

  • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECN) and ensure timely BOM updates.

  • Ensure compliance with configuration management and revision control processes

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Diploma in Technical Education.

    • 2+ years of experience in BOM, PLM, or manufacturing engineering.

    • Experience with PLM(Teamcenter) and ERP(Oracle) systems.

    • Hands-on experience with Teamcenter PLM (BOM management, workflows, revisions).

    • Good understanding about the BOM configuration.

           

    • Strong understanding about the 150% BOM Structure manager and EBOM vs MBOM concepts

    • Working knowledge of Oracle ERP BOM and item master modules.

         

    • Strong understanding of creating & processing Engineering Change Notices

    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

           

    • Hands on experience with 3D CAD Specially UG Nx is highly preferred.

    • Expertise in Excel for BOM analysis and data validation.

    • Good communication skills.

    • High attention to detail and data accuracy
