Backend Engineer

Join our team as a Backend Engineer with expertise in Laravel and Lumen. As a critical member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend of our web applications. If you are a passionate backend developer with a strong foundation in Laravel and Lumen, have 3-5 years of experience, and are eager to work on exciting projects, we encourage you to apply. As a Backend Engineer at Securly, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing the backend of our web applications using frameworks like Laravel and Lumen. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers and other cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of our applications.

What Will You Do

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design mock-ups and wireframes into fully functional web applications.
• Develop and maintain backend components and services using Laravel and Lumen.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, ensuring efficient data exchange between frontend and backend systems.
• Optimize backend code for performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate frontend and backend systems seamlessly.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and alignment with coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend-related issues, ensuring the stability of our applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in backend development.
• Mentor and support junior developers as needed.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with 3-5 years of professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in Laravel and Lumen, including API development and database integration.
• Proficiency in PHP and understanding of modern PHP development practices.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with micro services architecture.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis).
• Contributions to open-source projects or a GitHub/GitLab portfolio.
