Under the general direction of the Billing Manager, the Sr Accountant is responsible for performing accounting and financial work,
including invoice preparation, research, analysis, recording, reconciliation, and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare customer invoices in accordance with contractual terms
- Ability to read and interpret sales contracts and related legal documents
- Coordinate with Sales, Contracting, Fleet Ops, and Logistics staff members as needed
- Assists in preparing reports for ledgers, reconcile statements and ensure data integrity
- Assists in performing account research, analyze variances and prepare appropriate reports
- Assist in monthly close preparation
- Assist with audit support and revenue sampling for all revenue transaction
- Resolve complex billing issues
- Ensure proper accounting via preparation of monthly reconciliations
Qualifications Required for Position
- Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements related to billing operations
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Proficient in Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration Minimum 5 years billing experience
- Experience with complex billing arrangements
- Experience with CRM systems (i.e., Salesforce)
- SAAS, or other subscription, billing experience
- Experience with ERP systems
- Minimum 2 years billings experience in a SOX compliance environment
