Synechron is seeking an experienced Business Analyst - Order Management System (OMS) to join our team. This critical role involves managing and optimizing data workflows related to Order Management Systems (OMS), ensuring data integrity, and supporting trading and settlement operations. The ideal candidate will drive data accuracy, streamline processes, and contribute to strategic projects to enhance our financial technology solutions. By leveraging expertise in SQL, OMS platforms, and data management, this role directly supports business objectives such as risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and compliance.
Software RequirementsRequired Software Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL Development (including authoring and troubleshooting stored procedures and functions)
- Experience with OMS platforms such as Charles River, Aladdin, or Everest
- Version control systems (e.g., GIT)
- Agile methodology tools, especially Jira
Preferred Software Skills:
- Reporting tools: SSRS, SSIS, Power BI
- Additional development languages: Python, .NET, Java
- Cloud platforms, preferably Azure
- Market data and integration tools: Bloomberg, SWIFT, ClearPar, CTM(Omgeo), MarketAxess
- Develop, test, and optimize SQL procedures and functions from scratch; troubleshoot existing code
- Manage data flows and integrations within OMS platforms to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Support system upgrades, data migrations, and automation initiatives
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance policies
- Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and data quality
- Support reporting and analytics needs using various tools
- Maintain and improve version control practices
- Participate in Agile/Scrum teams to deliver iterative enhancements and fixes

- SSRS, SSIS, Power BI (preferred for reporting and data visualization)
Development Tools and Methodologies:
- Version control systems (GIT)
- Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira for project tracking
Security Protocols:
- Understanding of data security, access controls, and compliance requirements
- Minimum 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role within financial trading, asset management, or related sectors
- Proven experience working with OMS platforms such as Charles River, Aladdin, or Everest
- Extensive SQL development experience, including authoring and troubleshooting procedures/functions
- Experience with data workflows, automation, and version control
- Familiarity with reporting tools and advanced data visualization
- Knowledge of trading operations, market data, and financial workflows is highly desirable
Alternative Experience:
Candidates with extensive experience in SQL, data management, and OMS-related roles, even if from different platforms or industries, may be considered based on demonstrated skills.
- Develop and refine SQL procedures/functions to support OMS data workflows
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing SQL code to improve performance
- Collaborate daily with trading, operations, and technology teams
- Participate in daily stand-ups and planning within Agile teams
- Conduct data analysis and prepare reports/dashboards for stakeholders
- Assist in system upgrades, data migrations, and automation efforts
- Review code changes in GIT repositories and ensure version control compliance
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support for urgent trading or operational issues
- Document processes, workflows, and system configurations

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field; equivalent professional experience accepted
- Certifications in SQL, Data Management, or Cloud platforms (preferred)
