Business Intelligence Engineer
Location: Hyderabad (IIC) – Hybrid (3 days/week)
Role Overview
Nasuni is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team, supporting the delivery of high-quality dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions that drive business decisions.
This role is ideal for early-career professionals who enjoy working at the intersection of business and data—translating stakeholder needs into actionable insights. You will collaborate with analytics engineers, business stakeholders, and data teams to build reliable reporting and improve data accessibility across the organization.
This role is best suited for candidates who want to build strong foundations in data, BI tools, and stakeholder collaboration. It is not designed for candidates seeking full ownership of data architecture or platform design.
Level & Scope Definition
- Executes defined BI and reporting tasks with guidance
- Supports requirement gathering and documentation
- Contributes to dashboards and data validation
- Works cross-functionally with business and data teams
- Limited ownership of data models; contributes vs leads
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into dashboards and metrics
- Build and maintain Tableau dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights
- Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data
- Support analytics engineers in developing scalable data models and datasets
- Document business requirements, KPI definitions, and data workflows
- Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot inconsistencies across reporting layers
- Iterate on dashboards based on feedback and evolving business needs
- Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., SQL copilots, BI automation tools) to improve productivity and data exploration
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in BI, data analysis, or similar role
- 1-3 years hands-on experience with Tableau (or similar BI tool)
- Strong SQL skills working with structured datasets
- Ability to translate business questions into data outputs
Preferred
- Exposure to data modeling concepts
- Experience working with data or analytics teams
- Familiarity with Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar platforms
- Understanding of ETL/ELT workflows
Ideal
- Experience building dashboards used for business decision-making
- Exposure to dbt or modern data stack tools
- Experience using AI tools to assist with SQL, analysis, or reporting
Experience Guidelines
- 2–4 years total professional experience
- Demonstrated ability to build dashboards or data analyses
- Experience with Tableau and SQL,
