Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for driving sales activities across all market segments in line with the sales and marketing plan, with the objective of exceeding revenue and performance targets for Minor Hotels in Sri Lanka ,including Anantara Kalutara Resort, Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort, Avani Kalutara Resort, NH Collection Colombo, NH Bentota Ceysands Resort, with additional properties in the pipeline.
Your scope will include-
• Proactively promoting the Minor Hotels brand and properties in Sri Lanka.
• Contracting new business and maximizing revenue through leisure.
• Building and maintaining strong business relationships with key partners across local, domestic, and international markets.
• Monitoring competitor activities and providing comprehensive market intelligence and insights on travel trade trends.
• Deliver data-driven market reporting and analysis to identify trends, measure performance, and provide actionable insights to optimize revenue strategies.
• Attending and representing the hotels at travel functions, trade fairs, sales roadshows, and networking events.
• Organizing and conducting sales trips to promote the hotels within assigned markets.
• Segmenting and developing targeted strategies for clientele across leisure, corporate, and group business.
• Collaborating with the marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns.
• Identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships with tour operators, travel agencies, OTAs, and corporate clients.
• Providing detailed sales performance reports and recommendations to optimize revenue.
• You will report directly to the Area Director of Sales, who will provide coaching and support to enable you to achieve success in the role.
Qualifications• Proven track record (minimum 5 years) in sales leadership within the hospitality, leisure, or travel industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a five-star hotel environment.
• Strong network and established relationships within the Sri Lankan and international travel trade.
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and consistently achieve sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a highly competitive, pressurized environment.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret market trends and competitor insights.
• Passion for hospitality, leadership potential, and a desire to succeed.
