THE ROLE
We are seeking a Lead Data Architect to join our award-winning Data Practice. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of multi-disciplinary data practitioners, who you will direct and collaborate with to develop new businesses and deliver cutting-edge projects for top-tier Financial Services clients.

YOUR CAPCO DAY
- You will support our clients with data architecture design and delivery, and provide clients with best practice guidance for data management and architecture development and optimization
- You will build a set of services and capabilities that support Capco’s vision of Modern Data Architecture to enable efficient, transparent and high-quality data management.
- You will manage small to medium project teams and support Capco Data Architecture business development.
KEY RESPONSIBiLITIES
- Define and enforce data architecture, modeling and design standards, tools, and best practices.
- Manage end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to testing and implementing the proposed solution.
- Lead the development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Design and oversee implementation of RDBMS, operational data store (ODS), data marts, and data lakes.
- Support the development of data tools for reporting, visualization, analytics, and machine learning.
- Design and manage data infrastructure to extract, organize, and store data for authorized users to access.
- Develop and maintain database design and architecture documentation.
- Design the integration multiple systems to create an intelligent and resilient information system solution.
- Identify and research business development opportunities on new or existing clients and aiding the development of client proposals and bids.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERTISE
- Experience architecting & implementing data strategy, solutions & governance models within Financial Services industry.
- Proven experience in defining and implementing data architecture strategies.
- In-depth understanding of database structure principles and hands-on experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Contextual Data Modelling, Entity Relationship Modelling, Logical & Physical Data Modelling.
- Strong expertise in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and hands-on experience with modelling tools (e.g., Erwin or others)
- Strong experience with warehouse and data lake design and implementation approaches.
- Experienced working in a multi-client environment emphasizing collaboration and teamwork.
- Being comfortable working across multiple projects and initiatives, driving the growth of new and existing data capabilities, engaging internal and external stakeholders
- Effective teamworking with very good analytical and conceptual skills and assertiveness.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good commercial focus, ability to develop client relationships develop data propositions and direct client opportunities
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable experience using Cloud data technologies to develop enterprise Data platforms.
- Experience designing and developing data privacy, security and entitlements frameworks for cloud provider ecosystems.
- Solid understanding of common data concepts, e.g., Data Strategy, Data Management, Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Privacy, Data Literacy.
- Experience with data management and data governance tooling
