Design Engineer

Design and build interfaces for HUD’s AI agent training, evaluation, and marketplace products. Translate complex reinforcement learning workflows, agent runs, evaluation results, reward signals, and quality feedback into clear, actionable experiences. Collaborate with users, researchers, and engineers to ship polished products, conduct user discovery, improve usability, and develop reusable interaction patterns.

Develops automotive mobility-system layouts and packaged component designs using NX. Creates solid and surface models for plastics and sheet-metal parts while ensuring performance targets and manufacturing feasibility. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, apply current technologies, and reduce design and component costs. Requires an engineering degree, 5–7 years of relevant experience, NX proficiency, and strong communication skills.

Design and integrate RTL for high-performance silicon photonics ASICs and SoCs supporting optical interconnect products. Responsibilities include digital block ownership, mixed-signal and high-speed interface integration, verification collaboration, synthesis, timing closure, power optimization, DFT, automation, debugging, FPGA prototyping, and post-silicon bring-up. The engineer partners across analog, physical design, firmware, packaging, process, ATE, and product engineering teams from architecture through tapeout and production.
