Overall Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the DevOps team to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of ECS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift clusters.
- Develop and maintain build and deploy tools to streamline the software release process.
- Ensure the observability of our systems using ELK stack and other monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand their requirements and provide efficient solutions.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Develop and enforce best practices for security, performance, and scalability of the infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application deployment and infrastructure.
Technical Skills:
Software Requirements:
- Strong expertise in ECS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Experience with ELK stack for observability and monitoring.
- Knowledge of build and deploy tools such as Docker, Helm, and Ansible.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and its deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related fields.
- Proven experience in managing and deploying applications on ECS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools like ELK stack.
- Experience working with microservices architecture.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and project planning sessions.
- Lead the DevOps team and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Develop, test, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and troubleshoot application deployments and infrastructure issues.
- Ensure the observability and reliability of systems using ELK stack.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Stay current with the latest technology trends and advancements in DevOps.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Kubernetes, OpenShift, or DevOps tools are a plus.
