DevOps Engineer (ECS, Kubernetes, OpenShift and CI/CD)

Overall Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the DevOps team to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of ECS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift clusters.
• Develop and maintain build and deploy tools to streamline the software release process.
• Ensure the observability of our systems using ELK stack and other monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand their requirements and provide efficient solutions.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Develop and enforce best practices for security, performance, and scalability of the infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application deployment and infrastructure.

Technical Skills:

Software Requirements:

• Strong expertise in ECS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Experience with ELK stack for observability and monitoring.
• Knowledge of build and deploy tools such as Docker, Helm, and Ansible.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and its deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related fields.
• Proven experience in managing and deploying applications on ECS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like ELK stack.
• Experience working with microservices architecture.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and project planning sessions.
• Lead the DevOps team and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Develop, test, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot application deployments and infrastructure issues.
• Ensure the observability and reliability of systems using ELK stack.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Stay current with the latest technology trends and advancements in DevOps.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Kubernetes, OpenShift, or DevOps tools are a plus.
