Overview
As the Director of Mastercard Merchant Acceptance Program, you are an innovator who embraces, adopts, and studies the latest technology to solve challenging business problems. You are a leader who inspires the team to think “out of the box” and effectively communicates across all levels of the organization.
Merchant Acceptance Program consists of products & solutions that aim to increase Mastercard's acceptance footprint and improving quality of card holder experience at the point of interaction.
Role:
Responsible for planning, developing, and executing projects across domains to meet business needs.
Understand cross functioning systems scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively lead the project team and ensure that business needs are met.
Ensure timely and accurate communication with project staff and key stakeholders throughout the life cycle of the project.
Regularly communicate to management regarding the status of specific project deliverables.
Identifies key barriers to a projects or departments success and actively manages all mitigation activities.
Prioritize and provide input into cross application/system enhancements, new products, processes, standards or plans in support of the business.
Effectively deal with and develop solutions to moderately difficult problems.
Provide technical support to Business Owners during implementation of new products/services.
Determine development impacts to current processing and work with analysts and engineers to ensure accuracy of enhancements.
Document and coordinate audit controls and PCI requirements.
Provide strategic thinking and leadership related to a wide range of applications and systems, or software-development methodologies
Continuously engage and improve teams’ performance by conducting recurring 1-1 meetings, knowing your people, managing career development, and understanding who is at risk
Provide and facilitate timely feedback, coaching in the moment, and mentoring for staff at all levels
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
More than 16 years of product engineering experience, preferably in API and web development
Experienced in building platforms with Microservice architecture and RESTful APIs.
Experienced in building mobile applications in Android and/or iOS.
High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills.
