Design and support low-voltage control systems and electrical enclosures for thermal products. Produce and maintain schematics and components, work with manufacturers and contract resources, develop safety test cases, coordinate CE/UL testing, and collaborate with mechanical, firmware, test, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to support product development and production readiness.
The Electrical Engineer supports Thermal business. The Electrical Engineer interacts with and supports Global engineering and product teams. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer supports Supply Chain, material managers and Quality teams.
Responsibilities-
Designs control system and low voltage electrical enclosures
- Support electrical design for new product development.
- Creating and maintain components in the design tools.
- Working with contract resources and/or manufacturers for prototype/production builds
- Develop test case for electrical safety test of product
- Responsible for coordinate for CE / UL testing of product and having sound knowledge on IEC and NEC standards
- Collaborates with other groups, including Mech Engineers, firmware & software developers, system test, customer support, and manufacturing.
- Proficient in Cero schematics and 3-D cable routing.
- Should have sound knowledge in NPDI process and its deliverables. Should work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
Education & Certifications-
Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering or related
Requirements-
- Good knowledge on working with DC / AC Power Supply, mainly, 24V – 48VDC / 400V – 3PH – 50Hz / 460V-3Ph-60Hz
- 7+ years of experience using Electrical panel Life cycle management or Product documentation management tools.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in writing functional requirements and documenting designs.
- Experience with ELCAD/Creo schematic or similar tools.
- Experience with VMM, oscilloscopes, and other debug tools.
- Ability to execute on schedules for hardware board development lifecycles.
- Ability to debug, validate, and develop/support manufacturing tests on board level products.
- Experience in design for serviceability, manufacturability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
- Effective team member, consistent positive attitude, creativity.
